ABOUT ME
My name is Abigail Chesman, and I am a freshman Television, Photography, and Digital Media major in the Park Scholar program at Ithaca College. I am an award-winning director and cinematographer with a lifelong passion for the arts and community service. At Ithaca College, I am honing my storytelling skills and collaborating with creative individuals from diverse backgrounds through my work on ICTV, our award-winning television station. WICB, our award-winning student radio station, and The Ithacan, our award-winning newspaper. I am also giving back to the community in my volunteer work as a Park Scholar with Finger Lakes ReUse. My debut narrative short, The Window, was created during the summer of 2023 at Berridge Programs in Normandy, France. The Window has been screened at the Washington DC Independent Film Forum, where it received an honorable mention, won the White Lion award in the short narrative category at the Golden Lion Awards, was awarded the Best Student Film, Best Young Actor, and Best Women in Film awards from the Washington DC International Film Festival, and was an official selection for the Seattle Film Festival, the Reel Independent Film Festival, and the 1:11 High School Film Festival. I hope to inspire change with my work and leave a mark on the world through film.

"Abby provided beautiful photos from multiple parts of our celebration weekend. Her communication was clear before the event, our photos look great, and we received them quickly. I've recommended her to others and would do so again."
